For all the bride to be's and enagaged ladies in their wedding planning era, let's take notes from Paris, as usual.
Whether it's the ceremony gown, or a bridal event look you're seeking, spring 2026 couture week brought amazing, avant-garde bridal looks to inspire your bridal mood board.
While bridal couture is not within reach for most brides, it's important, no, imperative to be aware of, and draw inspiration from the newest couture bridal collections of the season.
We don't want any bride to be wearing last years trends, or wearing a dress down the aisle that every guest has already seen twice that year, or just playing it safe with an ordinary look that leaves everyone wanting more.
We need the drama.
That's why we look to the fashion runways of Paris.
The couture designers and creative directors that showed in Paris, are the world's leading designers, ahead of the game, and always serving the newest, hottest, riskiest, trendiest looks, and eye catching gowns.
Brands like Schiaparelli, Christian Dior, and Chanel (aka mother) predict and influence what's trending in the wedding industry and will direct you in the right direction of an elevated, unique, memorable, and fashion forward bridal wardrobe.
There are definitely some pretty consistent themes throughout the collections that we can takeaway as trends for this season. Lots of consistent styles, motifs, fabrics, and ideas that we can use as inspiration to think outside the box, try new things, be a little risky and have fun as the bride.
KEY TAKEAWAYS / TRENDS FROM THE COLLECTIONS:
Make a statement, be unique, have fun, be bold.
- Sculpted , Rigid Structures was very consistent. Play with sharp edges, exaggerated forms, accentuated shoulders, striking features.
- High Neck. High neck. High Neck. Lots of attention drawn to the collars, striking high neck design features, accentuated collars, bold neck designs.
- Sheer Fabric in these collections, lots of mesh
- Body. These gowns had lots of body, and form, and shape. Whether it's rigid, or bubble, or layered tulle, or princess, lots and lots of body and shape.
- Have fun with fabric & texture was heavily emphasized. Mix fabrics, mix texture but it comes together cohesively.
- Sparkle and Shimmer: but not gawdy diamonds and glaring sequins- a subtle shimmer and shine look was consistent
- Bubble dresses/ Tea-Cup Dresses. Typically bubbled at the bottom with a form fitted bodice.
- Feathers! Lots of emphasis of feathers- whether it's a feather trim of feather accessories, feathers were the vibe.
- Statement headwear! Bridal hats, statement head pieces, pinbox hats, cathedral veils, lace bird cage veils, very striking and bold headpieces. Definitley think about having a fun headpeice.
- Sleek Silk and Satin: but never plain and basic- always paired with eye catching embellishments, or feathered trim, or a unique sculpted structure. The silky, sleek, satin, 90's slip dress is not it- make it fun: add texture, add structure, add fabric, play with statement accessories, and a pop of color, and mesh, add sparkle, add something- we need more than a slip dress.
- Fringe & Tassled. Think Gatsby-1920's- eqsue fringey, tassled, sparkled, mesh, draped, dramatic fabrics.
- Statement accessories. Lots of gloves( even sheer black ones), bold strking earrings, fun bags, hats, jewelry, capes, drapery, whether sheer or satin, bejeweled tights was genius!
- Cher. Lots of Cher and Gatsby-esque vibes from these collections. Think draped gowns, form fitted, mesh, sequins, drama, flowy, headpieces, lots of embellishments and accents to a simple formed gown.
- Embellishments & Trim. Whether it's floral adornments, an embellished trim, sequin & bejeweled embellishments, feathered trim, an embellished veil, there were a lot of embroidered and features.
- The Modern, Tailored, Blazer, Button Down look. Whether it's a twist on a pantsuit set, or a blazer dress.
- Bridal Capes and Drapery.

DIOR: Floral inspiration, flouncy, bubble dress theme, statement earrings, lots of body and shape, floral adornments, embellishments & accessories, sequins, one shoulder twisted fabric to one shoulder, high neck, and strapless
- The DIOR bridal collection has my heart; however, I am biased to the lovely incorporation of flowers into the designs. As a flower preservationist, designing and creating something beautiful with nature's own flowers is a true gift and honor.
