Disney Wedding Bouquet Preservation: Ashton's Grand Floridian Wedding
Some wedding flowers are beautiful on their own. Others become part of a much bigger story.
For Ashton and her husband, that story unfolded at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, where classic elegance, romantic florals, and a little Disney magic came together for a wedding day full of thoughtful details. From the venue's iconic architecture to her soft, pastel bouquet, every element contributed to a celebration that felt uniquely theirs.
At Forgiven Flower, I had the opportunity to preserve Ashton's wedding bouquet through custom pressed floral artwork, creating a way for her to continue enjoying a meaningful piece of the day long after the celebration was over.
A Disney Wedding at the Grand Floridian

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is known for its timeless elegance, beautiful architectural details, and distinctive sense of occasion. It provided a stunning backdrop for Ashton's wedding, pairing the romance of a classic wedding setting with the unmistakable charm of Disney.
The ornate blue-and-gold staircase carpeting, bright architectural details, and elegant surroundings gave the day a refined, storybook quality. Rather than relying on elaborate decoration alone, the setting itself became part of the experience.

One of the things I love most about looking back at a wedding is seeing how the different elements work together. The venue, attire, florals, and smaller personal details all contribute to the atmosphere of the day—and those details become especially meaningful when it's time to preserve the flowers.
Ashton's Wedding Aesthetic: Romantic Florals and Soft Pastels

Ashton's wedding aesthetic was romantic and feminine, with a palette of soft pinks, creamy whites, and delicate greenery. Her bouquet brought together these colors in a way that felt fresh and graceful, complementing the elegance of her gown and the setting without overwhelming either.
The pale blue-green ribbon added another subtle layer of color, tying the floral design into the overall palette. And tucked among the blooms was a special Disney detail—small little Mickey pearl accents that made the bouquet even more personal to the celebration.

It's details like these that make each wedding bouquet different. Flowers may be selected for their color, shape, and texture, but the finished bouquet also reflects the people, places, and memories surrounding it.
When preserving wedding flowers, I want the finished artwork to honor that individuality. The goal isn't simply to arrange the flowers in a frame. It's to create a piece that feels connected to the wedding itself.
The Wedding Vendors Behind the Day
A wedding this thoughtfully put together is the result of many talented people working together. One of my favorite parts of sharing a wedding story is recognizing the vendors who helped bring it to life.

The amazing florists behind Ashton's wedding were Sam and Jordan at 58 Flower Shop in Gate City, Virginia, a florist I have the pleasure of working closely with.
I cannot recommend their work highly enough. Their commitment to quality, thoughtful customer service, and devotion to their clients are evident in the care they bring to their floral designs. They understand that wedding flowers are about more than the individual blooms—they help shape the atmosphere of a day people will remember for the rest of their lives.
Our shared appreciation for quality and personalized service is one of the reasons I value working with them so much. When a florist puts that much care into a bouquet, it's a privilege to help its story continue through preservation.

From Wedding Bouquet to Pressed Floral Artwork

Ashton's Wedding Bouquet: Romantic Blooms in Blush and Ivory
Ashton's bouquet brought together a romantic palette of pink and white blooms, softened by layers of greenery and delicate floral textures. Pink peonies and roses created a feminine focal point, complemented by white roses, spray roses, and white ranunculus. White and pink lisianthus added another layer of softness, while white hydrangeas brought fullness and dimension to the arrangement.
Silver dollar eucalyptus and Italian ruscus greenery completed the design, introducing muted green tones that balanced the warmth of the pink and ivory flowers.
The result was a bouquet that felt lush and romantic without losing its elegance. Each variety contributed something different—whether the layered petals of the peonies, the delicate shape of the ranunculus, or the gentle movement of the greenery.
These details also made the bouquet especially meaningful to preserve. Rather than treating the flowers as a single arrangement, I could work with their individual shapes, colors, and textures to create a custom composition inspired by the original bouquet.
Preserving Ashton's Bouquet at Forgiven Flower

For Ashton's pressed wedding bouquet preservation, the goal was to carry the character of her original flowers into a piece of artwork that felt cohesive with her wedding aesthetic.
Her florals were pressed and styled against ivory backing in our bestselling 16x20 size, in the oak color.
The finished composition brings together soft pinks, warm ivory tones, and muted greens, echoing the palette of her bouquet while allowing the individual flowers to become part of a new arrangement. The layered blooms create a full, organic silhouette, while the greenery adds contrast and helps define the composition.
The design was created specifically around Ashton's flowers. Each bouquet has its own proportions, color relationships, and distinctive details, which is why I approach every preservation commission as an individual work of floral art.
The finished piece offers Ashton a way to continue enjoying the flowers that accompanied her wedding day—not as a recreation of the original bouquet, but as a custom pressed floral composition inspired by it.

For couples who choose to preserve their wedding flowers, the process is an opportunity to give those blooms a place in their lives beyond the wedding itself. At Forgiven Flower, each design begins with a conversation about your flowers, your aesthetic, and the kind of artwork you envision displaying in your home.
Along with her main pressed bridal bouquet frame, she also got a 5x7 accent frame with her wedding invitation as the centerpiece, and little pressed hydrangeas from her bouquet to embroider the invitation. This frame was also in the classic oak shade.

Preserving the Details That Made Your Wedding Yours
Ashton's wedding is a lovely reminder that flowers are never just flowers. They're part of the visual story of a celebration—the colors you chose, the people who helped bring it together, and the moments you want to remember.
Whether your wedding takes place at Disney's Grand Floridian, in a garden, or in a venue that has meaning all its own, your bouquet deserves an approach that considers what makes it special.
At Forgiven Flower, I work one-on-one with clients to create custom pressed floral artwork that honors their flowers and the story behind them. Every design begins with a conversation about your vision, your bouquet, and how you would like to remember it.
If you're planning a Disney wedding or preparing to preserve your own wedding flowers, I'd love to hear about your plans.
